Get your hunter safety certificate while you are at Blue Mountain Hunter Safety Camp. Hunter responsibility and safety are stressed throughout the classes, which consist of lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, practical exercises, individual study, and activity assignments. Your class will be held outdoors where some of the best hunting in Oregon can be found.

But completing the Hunter Safety Course is just a portion of what you will do high in the mountains. At camp you will learn how to build an emergency shelter, track game and recognize sign, read a map and compass, and start and maintain a proper fire. You will also learn how to saddle and unsaddle a horse and properly care for stock. Then you will have a chance to go on a horseback ride in the mountains and try your luck fishing. Campers will receive instruction in bow hunting and have a chance to try their hand shooting a bow.

Each camper will be expected to help with camp chores such as feeding the stock, kitchen clean up, and gathering firewood. Price: $575.00 per camper.
